  • Emergency Room Waiting Room

In this section, we will publish all the deficiencies we found in the emergency rooms of Murcia's hospitals. REMEMBER THAT EACH MURCIÉN USUALLY HAS A WAIT OF ABOUT 7 HOURS PER EPISODE.

07/22/2025: There continues to be a great deal of comparison of everything that healthcare managers like to criticize because it's better than theirs. For example, all public hospitals in the region are full of messages stating that recording or taking photos is prohibited, when this is a public place where officials work and are subject to public opinion. Therefore, as long as minors are not recorded (or pixelated) or citizens who do not express their consent, it is completely legal to make any recording in a public hospital. I'd even go further: if you're in a booth and you and the doctor are alone, we'd also say it could be perfectly fine to record it or even upload it to social media, since the doctor is doing his (public) job and is only dealing with a medical matter that concerns only the citizen and is not discussed. Nothing is private, nor is there anything that cannot be expressed or disclosed when it comes to a public matter. Employee, so we wouldn't at any point be talking about reducing the doctor's rights or data protection, since the conversation is limited solely to medical data and the life of the patient.

Legally obtained recordings can be used as evidence in a trial, as long as the rights of the people involved are respected.

Well, to get to the point, in the waiting rooms of all public hospitals, there are still the most comfortable seats for patients (citizens), as can be seen in the photographs. These seats leave much to be desired when it comes to waiting more than five hours. Forged seats and the most comfortable backrests for long waits in the emergency room.

It's also worth noting that there are no screens with numbers outside the waiting rooms. This is something many patients would appreciate, especially those who come alone or have difficulty being in a room, or who simply need fresh air while waiting. These measures couldn't be implemented because there are no screens outside the waiting room to display the numbers. In our opinion, placing a simple screen outside isn't even costly to the regional government, and many people would benefit from this "detail." However, of course, they can't empathize with this situation, as they have good chairs and quality materials.

From here, we call on all healthcare department leaders to, if they care even the slightest bit about the well-being of patients who face long waits in the emergency room, deign to at least provide seating, as is done in other autonomous communities that are much more advanced than ours, with the sole purpose of making waiting easier for patients and their families while they wait in the emergency room.
